Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Jan. 12, together with the newly-elected members of the 8th Party central leadership body.
Accompanying him were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and secretary of the Party Central Committee, Ri Pyong Chol, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, vice-chairman of the Party Central Military Commission and secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK.
The visitors were filled with solemn emotion as they visited the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state as the sun, after being entrusted with a heavy duty as members of the Party central leadership body at the 8th Congress of the WPK, an important political event in the development of our Party and the revolution.
A floral basket in the name of the WPK Central Committee was laid before the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
The respected General Secretary, together with the members of the Party central leadership body, paid high tribute to the statues of the great leaders.
At the halls where the great leaders lie in state, Kim Jong Un made deep bows in token of his deepest reverence for them, the eternal leaders of our Party and people and peerlessly great sages who always live in the hearts of the people, providing them with inexhaustible power for victory and strong will for struggle and strengthening the pillar of their faith.
They hardened their will to cherish the decision of the historic 8th WPK Congress as a solemn commitment before the people and a supreme order given by them and achieve a new victory of the revolution by fulfilling their important responsibilities entrusted by the Party, the country and the people, true to the leadership of the general secretary of the WPK. -0-
