Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) — The construction of the Hyesan-Samjiyon broad-gauge railway is progressing apace at the final stage as part of the work to spruce up Samjiyon County in Ryanggang Province, the DPRK.
After finishing the project of roadbeds of tens of kilometers under the unified command of the 216 Division, members of its shock brigade are simultaneously propelling the projects for laying rails, electrifying railway and building railway stations and dwelling houses of railway workers.
Industrial establishments of relevant field are giving priority to supplying iron and steel, cement, rails, sleepers and other building materials, equipment and accessories.
Pyongyang City and South Hamgyong, South Hwanghae and other provinces are positively aiding the projects.
