General Secretary Kim Jong Un Sends Reply Message to General Secretary Xi Jinping

Pyongyang, January 13 (KCNA) — Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), sent a reply message to Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Tuesday.

Kim Jong Un in the message expressed his deep gratitude to Xi Jinping for extending warm and sincere congratulations to him on his assumption of duty as the general secretary of the WPK at its 8th Congress.

He said in the message that he and all the members of the WPK were deeply moved by the congratulatory message sent by the CPC Central Committee to the 8th Congress of the WPK earlier than others and the congratulations sent by the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee again to him before any others.

He also noted in the message that the heartfelt best wishes offered by the general secretary and the CPC Central Committee serve as great vigor and encouragement and help him harden his determination and will to live up to trust and expectations of all the members of the WPK and other Korean people.

He in the message expressed his will to set great store by the comradely friendship with the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and to exert himself to consolidate the DPRK-China friendship directly linked with the interests of the two parties and the peoples of the two countries and ensure vigorous advance of socialism, the common cause.

The message sincerely hoped that the general secretary would achieve greater successes in his responsible work for strengthening the CPC and promoting the realization of socialist modernization in this significant year marking the 100th founding anniversary of the CPC, expressing best wishes for the good health of the general secretary. -0-
