Naenara, March 28, 2020 — The Wonsan Kalma coast resort under construction along the beach on the East Sea of Korea is getting thick with green foliage.
Thousands of pines were planted this year. Over 350 000 trees have taken their roots here, creating green belts sprawling more than 850 000 square metres.
Most recently, thousands of ornamental trees were planted along the seashore and around buildings. Thousands-of-metre-long hedges were made with spindle trees, thuja and other trees and a variety of flowering shrubs and plants were planted, adding more beauty to the peculiar feature as a coastal city.
At present, efforts are being directed to manuring and tending the lawns and trees in line with the scientific and technical requirements.
