Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) — Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected Samjiyon County and the Tanchon Power Station under construction.
Going round various places of the county including the construction sites of the Paektusan Museum, the Management Office for Revolutionary Battle Sites in the Secret Camp of Mt Paektu and Samjiyon Township Hotel and the Junghung Farm, he encouraged the shock brigade members and agricultural workers devoting a lot of their sweat to the area of Mt Paektu.
At a consultative meeting held on the spot, measures were taken to ensure the speed and quality of the projects at the best level by widely creating and introducing the building methods suited to the characters of highlands, preferentially send cement and structural steel to Samjiyon County by the relevant units and realize the overall mechanization of rural economy.
Inspecting the construction site of the Tanchon Power Station No. 1, waterway project and others, the premier underscored the need to raise the rate of mechanization in the projects and take thorough measures for providing materials.
